    • ICE CREAM CONCESSION - Epping Forest

      The City of London Open Spaces Department invites tenders from refreshment operators to manage, under a 3 year 9 month license, the ice cream concessions at Connaught Water and Pillow Mounds in Epping Forest. There will be an option for extension of the licence period by mutual agreement.

      Epping Forest is a 5,900-acre area of ancient woodland often referred to as ‘London’s Great Forest’. It runs between Epping in Essex to the north, and Forest Gate in Greater London to the south, straddling the border between London and Essex. A former royal forest, Epping Forest is now is run by a charity owned and managed by the City of London Corporation.

      The licensee will be expected to operate at weekends year round. Vehicles will be required to meet Euro 5 Standards as a minimum (LEZ criteria) but preferably Euro 6 Standards (ULEZ criteria and must be supported by a silent generator to operate. Continuous running or idling of vehicles will not be permitted.

      The licence will commence on 1st July 2020.
