Our next training course will be held on 1st March 2012 9.30am to 4.30pm - Recipe Formulation along with an open forum. There will also be a training course on Wednesday 23rd May 2012.

Improving your knowledge and skills can greatly contribute to making top quality ice creams and the ICA offers training courses on such subjects as ingredient functionality and product formulation. Our training courses are completely independent of any ingredient and equipment suppliers and therefore offer totally impartial help. As a not-for-profit organisation our course fees are kept to the bare minimum needed to cover our costs with most taking place at our offices here in Derby.

Southern Ireland

A special ICA recipe training course is to be held in Southern Ireland in conjunction with the National Organic Training Skillnet. The course is open to all ICA members and will cover the use of ingredients, recipe formulation and ice cream production.

The course will be held on 4th October 2011, the venue is the County Arms Hotel in Birr Co Offaly from 10.00am -5.00pm. The cost per person is €60 and further details can be obtained from:

    Minimum of one course a month for Introduction to Artisan Ice Cream and Fruit Ice held at our offices in Hereford.
    This course is most suited to newcomers to the world of ice cream and gives a good overview of what is required to have your own ice cream business in the UK.  We can also organise a more advanved course with an Italian Chef either in Italy or in Hereford for a fee.
