ICA Ice Cream Training Courses
Improving your knowledge and skills can greatly contribute to making top quality ice creams and the ICA offers training courses on such subjects as ingredient functionality and product formulation. Our training courses are completely independent of any ingredient and equipment suppliers and therefore offer totally impartial help. As a not-for-profit organisation our course fees are kept to the bare minimum needed to cover our costs with most taking place at our offices here in Derby.

Run occasional 1 day courses covering the basics of ice cream formulation and manufacturing including presentations and ‘hands on’ sessions using items of equipment from their portfolio. Course content particularly useful for farm based producers.

Free “Introduction to Gelato” demonstration days ideally suited to newcomers to the world of ice cream. RSS Hereford use their range of Telme/Valmar equipment to show you how to make artisan ice cream/fruit ice and how they can help you to make your own. This is a ‘hands on’ informal group demonstration where you will have the opportunity to discuss, ask questions and sample the end product plus gain valuable hints on what you need to operate a successful ice cream parlour.
